SONG OF THE DAY!!!! - Dr. Dre "I Need a Doctor" ft. Eminem and Skylar Gray (brand new video)

DR. DRE IS BACK MY PEOPLE... 10 years later, DETOX HAS ARRIVED

I should not have to explain to Sunken City Special's loyal readers how epic this song, video, and return is for not only the hip-hop game, but for music altogether. Dr. Dre is BACK. Detox is here (well... almost) and it is iller than we could have imagined. I feel great about the CD now that I not only know that it is definitely coming out this year, but obviously because of this lead single and its short-film esque music video. Dre has worked his signature style on the public, waiting 10 years in between CDs once again. But any year that ends in a 1 is a Dr. Dre year, and 2011 has arrived. This song should and will blow up and it could not make me prouder. I have been a Dre fan ever since the Chronic 2000 dropped and changed my life, forcing me to buy the original Chronic. Chronic 2000 was one of the CDs that made me love hip-hop and start rapping. No lie. The Doctor is a true master of the flow whose deep, passionate voice can invoke thought, inspire, reflect, celebrate, and haunt all at the same time. Dre never disappoints and I hope it is isn't way too early to say he stays on that top level or even gets better with age... but it's a definite possibility. I love and support anything the Doctor does. Hope ya'll appreciate this song, video, and return as much as me... One love.

P.S - YOU CAN TELL HOW MUCH OF AN EFFECT EMINEM (MY IDOL) HAS HAD ON THE DOCTOR'S FLOW IN THIS SONG, AS HIS FLOW IS SOMEWHAT SIMILAR TO EMINEM'S POWERFUL RAPID-FIRE STYLE. THIS IS A GREAT THING AS EMINEM HAS THE BEST FLOW EVER IN MY OPINION. MAYBE EM HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE WRITING OR MAYBE DRE IS JUST FEEDING OFF EMINEM'S FLOW, AS THEY BOTH DO NATURALLY, LOOKING UP TO ONE ANOTHER. WHATEVER IT IS... ITS WORKING AND SUCEEDING. KEEP KILLIN IT GUYS WE ALL LOOK UP TO YOU!!!!!!

Always Dream,

Tim Guerin

QUESTION OF THE DAY!!!

What would your perfect last meal consist of?

There are no boundaries... Just be reasonable people. It has to all fit on a plate. (Well... a GIANT one)

Leave responses in the comments below.

:P

SONG OF THE DAY: "I Dont Know Who I Am" by Thomas "Oddity" Pioszyk ft. Tim "Geez" Guerin & Trilogy (Produced by Oddity)

This song, "I Don't Know Who I Am," is by three very talented MCs from the Central New Jersey area. Producer Tom Pioszyk, a.k.a Oddity, molds a hauntingly melodic beat that engrosses its listener from the moment it's opening notes hit. His use of strings and synthesizers are pitch perfect here, setting a dark, gloomy, reflective tone that the lyricists build on throughout the song. Oddity leads off the track, while also being the primary voice on the hook, and kills the track with his deep lyrics and his passionate flow. He presents a voice of confusion and hardened sadness. Tim "Geez" Guerin goes in second and keeps up the pace set by Pioszyk, while raising the intensity in his flow, sounding angry and somewhat frantic. He also lends his voice on certain parts of the deep hook created by Oddity. Third up on the track is Trilogy, a man referred by many as the "quiet storm." Trilogy mesmerizes the listeners with his voice and his unique flow, sounding raw and full of emotion. The one word I would use to describe this song is "REALITY" because all three of these MCs keep it real and go in real hard... and they talk about REAL things that MATTER! One love ya'll!

By the way... The author you are reading right now happens to be on this track. I am second... so let me know what you think Sunken City Special readers! If you like it, spread the word... Enjoy your day!!!

Sincerely,

The Dreez
